Summarizing the work history of a piece of equipment can provide Facilities staff with helpful context before beginning work. It can also yield valuable insights about recurring issues, and surface important information that is occasionally buried in field notes. Berkeley Lab uses SkySpark®, Python, and AI large language models to automatically generate summaries from work order information, equipment descriptions and other sources.
